Sony Native 4K Home Cinema Projector

Sony have announced two new projectors – the VPL-VW890ES and VPL-VW290ES and so we can now reveal further details of the new products and explain how the full range will deliver the best ever HDR viewing experience for your customers.

The two new native 4K (4096 x 2160) home cinema projectors from Sony join the other recently launched models and are powered by “X1™ for projector”, the powerful picture processor based on technology used for Sony’s BRAVIA TV series and optimized for projectors. This processor combines innovative technologies for high-precision frame analysis, enabling unique features like Dynamic HDR Enhancer and Reality Creation.

The VPL-VW890ES 2,200lm laser model with premium All-Range Crisp Focus (ARC-F) lens and VPL-VW290ES 1,500lm lamp model offer immersive viewing experiences that deliver the creator’s true intent with real-world detail and texture in best contrast for the consumer and integrator.

Dynamic HDR Enhancer: Due to the processing power of the newly installed X1™ for projector, more detailed analysis is performed and HDR enhancement power has become stronger compared to the previous models. This enhanced HDR feature analyses each scene to deliver the best contrast performance when viewing HDR content, making the bright scenes brighter and the dark scenes darker. The dynamic range of contrast and brightness is further expanded by linking with the laser and iris in the VPL-VW890ES laser model.

“Reality Creation” Technology: the X1™ for projector picture processor analyses each scene to enrich 4K content and real-world detail and texture. Even content filmed in 2K or Full HD is upscaled close to 4K.

Native 4K SXRD panel: Both models offer 4096 x 2160 4K resolution images with 8.8 million pixels for an incredibly lifelike picture. With rich, inky blacks as well as clear cinematic motion and image smoothness, these projectors can reproduce vibrant colours with more tones and textures than a standard projector system.

Edge to Edge Image Quality: The VPL-VW890ES uses ARC-F lens which delivers pristine image quality across the entire screen. Working from Home

Many people are working from home due to the pandemic, lets discuss how KNX can be used to facilitate and safe and healthy environment.

Many people have set up their offices temporarily in spare bedrooms across the world. Working from home has some great benefits, but for most, sadly, it does not include a custom-built office set up specifically for the single purpose of work. Beds have been shifted, wardrobes moved or dismantled or, in many instances, dining room tables have been requisitioned as the workspace. How do we change from work mode to home mode, and can KNX bring anything to the party?

Automation is not necessarily the first words on people’s lips when they setup an office.

Many homes are not that well equipped when it comes to office-quality lighting. For most people, the warm glow of a light bulb in the room almost certainly means that 2700 kelvin yellow, which is great for relaxing in the evening and watching a bit of TV. When it comes to office color temperature on the other hand, there is no ‘perfect’, but people certainly lean more towards the 4000 – 6000 kelvin range.

24 Channel KNX Lighting Control Relay

Device BO24F01KNX is a DIN rail EIB / KNX actuators with 24 relay outputs also termed as 24 channel relay that can be configured as:

–  24 outputs for light / load control
– 24 channels for valve in PWM (solenoid actuators)
–  12 channels for roller shutter / venetian control
–  12 channels for 3-point valve control
–  6 fan coil actuators 2-pipes / 4 fan coil actuators 4-pipes
It is also possible to combine 3,4 or 5 relays with logic interlock for 4-pipe / 3-speed fan coil control or combine groups of relays (up to 8) for special function using logic interlock .

KNX PRESENCE DETECTOR STANDARD WITH LIGHTING CONTROL

The KNX presence detector STANDARD (PD00E01KNX) suitable for ceiling mounting ,  manages the detection and includes a brightness sensor for environmental lighting control. The STANDARD version has a rear connector with 3 digital inputs that can be connected to buttons or switches free of potential and used for on / off commands, dimming, shutters or blinds / scenarios, sequences, step commands, etc. One of the 3 inputs can be configured as analogue for the connection of NTC temperature probes with which to send the temperature measurement on the bus or manage a complete thermostat module. The thermostat manages 2 stages with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating and cooling equipment, valves, 2 and 4-pipe fan coils, etc. Presence detection, based on a passive infrared sensor, has 5 independently configurable channels with different functions that can be activated. Moreover, 12 logic blocks are available to implement simple expressions with logical or threshold operator or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators; It’s possible to use predefined algorithms as proportional controls of temperature and humidity or dew point calculation. The device also integrates the “Virtual Holder Logic”; the field of application is the hotel room: through a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input (also to the sensor itself), accurate presence information is managed. The presence detection solution can deduce the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors. It also detects an unexpected presence and is able to differentiate more behaviors. The device manages the ambient lighting based on the measured illuminance; it is also possible to enable the logic called “Circadian Rhythm” with which brightness and color temperature are imposed on the basis of predefined curves or on the basis of the real position of the sun during the day with respect to a terrestrial coordinate. This function allows you to recreate lighting comfort in an environment as close as possible to reality.

SPACE SENSOR KNX – LIGHTING – TEMPERATURE – HUMIDITY – SOUND – OCCUPANCY & UTILIZATION

The SPACE sensor of Eelectron presence detectors range is suitable for ceiling mounting up to 4 m height. The device includes a brightness sensor for environmental lighting control, humidity and temperature sensors with the relative control algorithms and a sound sensor that can be used in rooms with parts not totally visible to the infrared sensor. Presence detection, based on a passive infrared sensor, has 5 independently configurable channels with different functions that can be activated: presence with or without brightness control and with automatic or semi-automatic detection; constant brightness independent or presence dependent with automatic or semi-automatic activation. The device has a rear connector with 3 digital inputs that can be connected to buttons or switches free of potential and used for on / off commands, dimming, shutters or blinds / scenarios, sequences, step commands, etc. One of the 3 inputs can be configured as analogue for the connection of NTC temperature probes (see eelectron probes code TS00A01ACC / TS00B01ACC) with which to send the temperature measurement on the bus or manage a complete thermostat module. The thermostat manages 2 stages with an integrated PI controller for controlling heating and cooling equipment, valves, 2 and 4-pipe fan coils, etc. The humidity sensor manages the measurement of the ambient relative humidity and allows the control with thresholds and hysteresis of humidification and dehumidification equipment’s. 12 logic blocks are available to implement simple expressions with logical or threshold operator or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. The device also integrates the “Virtual Holder Logic”; the field of application is the hotel room: through a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input (also to the sensor itself), accurate presence information is managed. The presence detection solution can deduce the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors. It also detects an unexpected presence and is able to differentiate more behaviors.
