Presence Sensor

Energy consumption in buildings can be reduced with the help of presence detectors/sensors. It detects the presence of persons in the room and simultaneously measures the intensity of the natural light. If the degree of brightness is less than the pre-set value, even the smallest of movements is enough to activate the lighting. However, if the brightness of the surroundings is adequate or if sensor/detector does not detect anyone in the room, the lights are switched off once again. Ideal for offices, long corridors and entrance areas.

Sony Native 4K Home Cinema Projector

Sony have announced two new projectors – the VPL-VW890ES and VPL-VW290ES and so we can now reveal further details of the new products and explain how the full range will deliver the best ever HDR viewing experience for your customers.

The two new native 4K (4096 x 2160) home cinema projectors from Sony join the other recently launched models and are powered by “X1™ for projector”, the powerful picture processor based on technology used for Sony’s BRAVIA TV series and optimized for projectors. This processor combines innovative technologies for high-precision frame analysis, enabling unique features like Dynamic HDR Enhancer and Reality Creation.

The VPL-VW890ES 2,200lm laser model with premium All-Range Crisp Focus (ARC-F) lens and VPL-VW290ES 1,500lm lamp model offer immersive viewing experiences that deliver the creator’s true intent with real-world detail and texture in best contrast for the consumer and integrator.

Dynamic HDR Enhancer: Due to the processing power of the newly installed X1™ for projector, more detailed analysis is performed and HDR enhancement power has become stronger compared to the previous models. This enhanced HDR feature analyses each scene to deliver the best contrast performance when viewing HDR content, making the bright scenes brighter and the dark scenes darker. The dynamic range of contrast and brightness is further expanded by linking with the laser and iris in the VPL-VW890ES laser model.

“Reality Creation” Technology: the X1™ for projector picture processor analyses each scene to enrich 4K content and real-world detail and texture. Even content filmed in 2K or Full HD is upscaled close to 4K.

Native 4K SXRD panel: Both models offer 4096 x 2160 4K resolution images with 8.8 million pixels for an incredibly lifelike picture. With rich, inky blacks as well as clear cinematic motion and image smoothness, these projectors can reproduce vibrant colours with more tones and textures than a standard projector system.

Edge to Edge Image Quality: The VPL-VW890ES uses ARC-F lens which delivers pristine image quality across the entire screen. This large-aperture lens adopts an all-glass design for its 18 elements, including six extra low dispersion (ELD) elements. This ensures optimal convergence of the red, green and blue primaries even at the extreme edges of the screen, for a clear and vivid image wherever you look.

The VPL-VW890ES and VPL-VW290ES models will replace the VPL-VW870ES and VPL-VW270ES respectively. Working from Home

Many people are working from home due to the pandemic, lets discuss how KNX can be used to facilitate and safe and healthy environment.

Many people have set up their offices temporarily in spare bedrooms across the world. Working from home has some great benefits, but for most, sadly, it does not include a custom-built office set up specifically for the single purpose of work. Beds have been shifted, wardrobes moved or dismantled or, in many instances, dining room tables have been requisitioned as the workspace. How do we change from work mode to home mode, and can KNX bring anything to the party?

Automation is not necessarily the first words on people’s lips when they setup an office.

Many homes are not that well equipped when it comes to office-quality lighting. For most people, the warm glow of a light bulb in the room almost certainly means that 2700 kelvin yellow, which is great for relaxing in the evening and watching a bit of TV. When it comes to office color temperature on the other hand, there is no ‘perfect’, but people certainly lean more towards the 4000 – 6000 kelvin range.

UNIVERSAL FANCOIL CONTROLLER 0-10 by Eelectron

The TC57A01KNX device is a DIN rail EIB / KNX actuator for fan coil units control. The device has 3 0-10 V outputs and 3×16 A relays. Two 0-10 V outputs are dedicated to the management of proportional valves, variable speed management be done with the third 0-10 V output or with the 3 relays on board. If relays are not used for speeds, they can activate lights or other loads. An input is also available for reading 0-10V or 4-20mA signals to interface external probes for temperature, humidity, CO2, etc; the third 0-10 V output can also be configured in this mode, as input. There are also 5 digital inputs for dry contacts in order to connect buttons, window contacts, alarms; 2 inputs can be connected to NTC temperature probes (eelectron codes TS00A01ACC and TS00B01ACC). The logic inside the device can manage a 2/4 pipes fan coil with an internal 2-stage PI algorithm. A sophisticated parameterization allows its use in modern systems that require a differentiation of the behavior between speed and valves (independent regulation differentials), ventilation to avoid air stratification, logics for efficient maintenance of comfort and energy saving.
